Adventure Travel

Adventure TravelDestinations: The Holiday & Travel Show, the UK’s biggest and longest running travel show, has teamed up with National Geographic to put adventure travel at the heart of the show in 2016.

You'll get to meet National Geographic travel experts, immerse yourself in a world of adventure and discover a huge choice of leading adventure specialists to inspire your next off-the-beaten track experience.

Visit the Adventure Travel stage each day at 11am, 12.30pm, 2pm and 3.30pm for informal Travel Geek sessions. Don’t miss the chance to ask experts your burning travel questions.

Daily sessions:

  • 11am: No Fly: A holiday doesn’t mean having to endure the stress of an airport. Learn the top tips and advice about getting from A to B without stepping on a plane

  • 12.30pm: Walking: Hit the trails with expert advice from travel journalist Mark Rowe, Discover the World’s Cathy Harlow, and Last Frontiers’ Sue Morkill

  • 2pm: Adventure: Learn more about destinations, equipment and gear to get the most out of your intrepid expeditions

  • 3.30pm: Writing: Turn your trips into compelling stories with tips from National Geographic Traveller (UK)’s Pat Riddell, Maria Pieri, Glen Mutel, and freelance journalist Mark Rowe
