Exhibitor in Focus: Belle France

How did your company start out?

We began as a small operation based in Whitstable, Kent, selling only holidays in the Auvergne. Since then, we’ve grown  our tour selection to cover over 20 regions of France. We’re celebrating our 30 year anniversary in 2016.

What tours do you offer?

Luxury walking and cycling tours in France. The tours are about experiencing France, immersing yourself in the culture and enjoying great food.

Holiday USPs

We transport customers’ luggage between hotels for them each day
The routes can be tailored to suit our customers’ preferences – we can add nights, add a visit to Paris and upgrade accommodation.
Some holidays are suitable for customers who want to take their dogs.

What makes your company unique?

Our staff put together the holidays by hand – route notes are tailored for each holiday, maps are hand drawn, we suggest places of interest on itineraries.
All our staff speak French and have lived in France, so they’re in an ideal position to put together new holidays and help customers.
A member of staff goes on every holiday we offer to walk or cycle the route and ensure it works. We also update our notes regularly.
We have established relationships with hoteliers, so we can go the extra mile to meet customers’ needs.

What new countries and itineraries will you be offering in 2016?

Brand new holidays for 2016 include:
Landscape of Kings, a cycle tour of Ile de France that takes in some of the most magnificent chateaux and palaces around Paris, including Versailles and Fontainebleau.
A Week in Provence, a cycle tour of the Luberon area of Provence, where Peter Mayle’s novels are set. The tour begins in Avignon and explores beautiful scenery, architechture and villages.

Recommend an incredible place to stay.

Auberge des Troubadours in the town of Roquefixade is a charming gite set on the Cathar walking trail. The surrounding scenery is spectacular, and hosts Dave and Jenni are friendly and welcoming. Jenni cooks delicious food for the restaurant, and guests are entertained with piano music, poetry and anecdotes between courses. It’s really a convivial, unique place to stay.
