Exhibitors in Focus: 5 Star China Holidays

How did 5 Star China Holidays start out?

After having had her daughter, Melanie, the founder and current director of 5 Star China Holidays wanted to spend more time with her child and thus left her previous job. It wasn’t long after that a friend of hers asked whether she could help her apply for a Chinese visa and whether she knew any good places to tour in China. With pleasure, she recommended a few places to her, organised a private tour as well as helped her sort out her visa.  Soon after, a number of people began to ask her whether she could also help them out. That was when she realised that this would be the perfect job for her. Not only could she introduce the country in which she has a lot of insight in, but also to turn what is initially a rather complicated process a very straight-forward one for others, whilst simultaneously being able to spend more time with her daughter. As time passed by, what was once a small group began to expand and grow to become what it is today - 5 Star China Holidays Ltd.

What tours do you offer?

“I have been using your service for almost 10 years now and the quality of your service has been consistently incredible throughout!” Dale Robertson.

Will you be offering any new itineraries in 2015?

Yes, in 2015, we will be officially offering the ‘ Stunning Zhangjiajie Mountain and Grand China Tour’!

Numerous customers have stated that they’ve wished to see parts of China that aren’t typically visited by tourists but are just as spectacular and beautiful. Zhangjiajie is a city in the northwestern part of the Hunan province famous for its mountainside scenery, or as the rest of you may know it for - the location for the award-winning film Avatar.

Recommend an incredible place to stay.

We would highly recommend the Donghu Hotel in Shanghai. It was originally built in 1934 as the residence of Mr. Du Yueshen, a then renowned tycoon. It’s located very close to shops and there are numerous methods of public transport not far from the hotel. The staff are incredibly friendly and the place holds a very relaxed ambiance.
